Enforcement Hearing Duty Lawyer Service
If you are an enforcement debtor (the person who owes money) who is required to attend an enforcement hearing in the Brisbane Magistrates Court, LawRight may be able to assist you through our Enforcement Hearing Duty Lawyer Service.
The service provides free legal advice and one-off representation to enforcement debtors on the morning of their enforcement hearing.
With the assistance of volunteer lawyers and barristers, the service will:
- give you legal advice about your dispute, court process and other options for the resolution of your dispute;
- assist you to complete court forms (e.g. the Form 71 statement of financial position); and
- represent you at your enforcement hearing.
Enforcement debtors who would like assistance from the Enforcement Hearing Duty Lawyer Service should attend the service from 8.30am on the morning of their enforcement hearing.
Please download an information brochure (linked to the right) for more information about eligibility for assistance.
