This includes money you owe, money owed to you, or disagreements about whether a debt exists.
When we may be able to help
- You are facing financial hardship or other difficulties (for example, illness, housing problems, or family violence); and
- The debt is having a serious impact on your life; and
- You have already tried other reasonable ways to resolve the problem, and legal assistance is your remaining option; and
- You cannot get legal help anywhere else.
If this is your situation, click here to read more about our Pro Bono Connect Service and how they may be able to help.
When we can’t help
- You want to enforce an order made at QCAT or the Magistrates Court
- The likely outcome does not justify the time and resources needed to legally pursue the matter.
If this is your situation, see below for resources and other places that may be able help.
More resources
LawRight provides a toolkit for enforcing QCAT or Magistrates Court money orders in the Magistrates Court. You can access the toolkit here.
