This may include faulty products, poor workmanship, services not provided as promised, misleading conduct, or disputes about refunds.

When we may be able to help

  • You are facing financial hardship or other difficulties (for example, illness, housing problems, or family violence); and
  • The dispute is having a serious impact on your life; and
  • You have already tried other reasonable ways to resolve the problem, and legal assistance is your remaining option; and
  • You cannot get legal help anywhere else.

We may also consider whether the matter raises issues of broader public importance.

If this is your situation, click here to read more about our Pro Bono Connect Service and how they may be able to help.

  When we can’t help

  • The likely outcome does not justify the time and resources needed to legally pursue the matter

If this is your situation, see below for other places that may be able help.
